Sulphur

In the body, sulphur (S) is mainly found as part of the sulphur-containing amino acids methionine and cystine, heparin, insulin, thiamine (vit B₁) and chondroitin sulfate. The requirement for sulphur has not been established, though the sulphur in high-quality dietary protein appears adequate to meet requirements.
